Position Objective: As a Bartender at Marsanne, you will play a key role in creating and serving exceptional beverages that complement our cuisine and enhance our guests' dining experience. Your responsibilities include preparing and serving beverages, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and providing outstanding customer service. Requirements: 2+ years of experience as a bartender in a restaurant setting. High School Diploma or equivalent work experience. NY Department of Health & Mental Hygiene Food Protection Certificate required. TIPS Certification preferred. Fluent in written and spoken English with basic math skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high volumes quickly. Ability to handle stressful situations politely and calmly. Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical Demands: This position requires seeing, hearing, speaking, frequent use of hands, reaching, frequently lifting 50+ pounds, standing for long periods, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. Responsibilities: Greet guests warmly and assist with menu selections. Make recommendations and answer menu inquiries to improve sales targets. Take orders accurately and enter them into the POS system. Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following standard recipes. Ensure responsible alcohol service and comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines. Process transactions accurately using the POS system. Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including stocking supplies and equipment. Inform management of any product needs, equipment malfunctions, or hazardous situations. Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly. Train staff in beverage knowledge and Marsanne service standards. Stay updated on industry trends and participate in training opportunities. Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service.
